Short fartlek for Thursday. It rained the night before, so the trail was still wet, and there were much fewer people around. I decreased my 5k baseline to 24 minutes, and my app adjusted my medium and slow pace targets. Here are my results:


5 minute warm-up (11:20 target pace): 8:47 pace

5 minute warm-up (8:50 target pace): 9:18

1 min fast (7:20 target pace): 7:24

1 minute medium (10:40): 8:44

1 min fast (7:20): 6:47

1 minute medium (10:40): 9:17

2 min fast (7:20): 7:06

2 minute medium (10:40): 10:53

1 min fast (7:20 target pace): 6:38

1 minute medium (10:40): 11:00

1 min fast (7:20): 7:02

1 minute medium (10:40): 10:32

2 min fast (7:20): 6:45

2 minute medium (10:40): 9:26

5 minute cool down (11:20): 9:26


I felt great on all my fast intervals and on most recoveries. Another one in the books. Time to stretch, hydrate, and rest.
